Pregnant Moms

Seeking chiropractic care during pregnancy is paramount. The bodily changes during this time can stress the nervous system, often resulting in discomforts such as sciatic pain.Consistent chiropractic care allows the body to better adapt to these changes. Dr. Phillips provides personalized care tailored to pregnant women, addressing the rapid bodily changes that can strain the pelvis and spine. This focused approach aims to alleviate common discomforts of pregnancy and optimize pelvic alignment and nervous system balance, essential for a comfortable pregnancy and safe delivery.Collaborating with other healthcare providers, Dr. Phillips supports mothers throughout pregnancy, offering gentle adjustments and a comprehensive understanding of the body's evolving needs, from prenatal care to postpartum recovery.

Newborns

Strain during the birth process is more common than many realize, often going unnoticed and dismissed as "normal." Birth is inherently challenging, even in uncomplicated deliveries, with significant pressure exerted on a baby's head and neck through pulling and pushing. Factors like forceps, vacuums, and c-sections only compound the stress on the baby's body. In chiropractic, this strain is termed "subluxation," causing nerve irritation. Since the nervous system governs all bodily functions, any interference or irritation can hinder optimal growth and development. Babies may exhibit signs of subluxation, such as colic, nursing difficulties, gas, or sleep disturbances. Dr. Phillips specializes in working with newborns, often witnessing rapid and dramatic improvements in their condition.

CHILDREN

From learning to walk, run, ride a bike, and play sports, children experience many falls. Often, when a child gets injured, adults encourage them to shake it off and continue playing. However, many adult health issues can be traced back to childhood injuries. Detecting and correcting these problems early makes them much easier and quicker to address. Dr. Phillips believes it is easier to nurture healthy children than to fix injured adults. The chiropractic care she provides is a gentle, yet specific and effective approach to addressing children's health conditions related to the nervous and musculoskeletal systems.

Nurtured Beginnings was born from my own journey through motherhood.
Having experienced three pregnancies, labors, and deliveries, I’ve celebrated moments that went beautifully and learned from those I’d change. My heart has always been drawn to helping others, and I felt compelled to bring my experiences—and what I wished for during my own prenatal and postpartum journeys—to women here in the Salt Lake area.
In the world of birth work, it’s common for doulas, midwives, and other professionals to visit women in their homes. How incredible would it be if your chiropractor did the same? Imagine being stalled during labor or needing hands-on therapy—what if you could call your chiropractor? That’s where I come in.I’m passionate about helping women optimize their nervous systems as their bodies navigate the profound changes of pregnancy. This is such a miraculous time, and my goal is to help every woman feel supported, empowered, and able to fully enjoy the experience of growing a child.Beyond hands-on chiropractic care, I provide tailored stretches, exercises, and nutritional guidance to help mothers feel their best. Once your baby arrives, their journey has just begun—whether your labor was four hours or forty, your little one’s nervous system deserves attention to ensure they’re ready to take in the new world around them.Postpartum can be challenging as you focus so much of your energy on your baby. That’s why I also make it a priority to check in on you. My own birth workers emphasized the importance of rest, minimal outings, and staying home after birth. How amazing would it be to have your chiropractor come to you—offering care for both you and your baby in the comfort of your home, so you can focus on healing and bonding?Have questions? Text me. If I don’t have the answer, I’ll tap into my resources and help you find it. My mission is to provide care that feels personal, accessible, and deeply nurturing.-EDUCATION-
